Last week I attended the opening reception for the 2nd Annual Miniature Exhibition at Blank Canvas Art Supplies & Gallery<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was very popular and got quite crowded \u2013 congratulations to Blank Canvas for the success in bringing so many people together to share and enjoy artwork! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are many amazing pieces, in a huge range of subjects and styles and media. Not just amazing tiny paintings and drawings, but also stained glass, needle-felting and other textile arts, even basket weaving. Also googly eyes.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

I am really hoping to go back when it\u2019s less busy, so I can spend a lot more time taking in the artworks one by one. Fortunately the show is on until March 2, and free to attend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s Miniature Exhibition is the 2nd Annual, and it\u2019s my 2nd time participating, too….<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now I have the beginnings of a tiny series of tiny paintings with a theme of seeking tiny things and finding tiny moments of joy and peace. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These mini pieces are quite fun to make, so I hope there will be a 3rd Annual Miniature Exhibition next year. I’m looking forward to sharing my next piece in this series in 2026. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
